Overview

Our boutique dental practice is looking for a Chairside Dental Assistant who is trained in 4-handed dentistry and back-office duties for general dentistry delivering patient-centric comprehensive care. We are looking for an assistant that is humble, possesses high standards, follows instructions, and respects established dental office systems.

Compensation & Benefits

Hourly pay: $30 - $36 per hour

Schedule

Monday through Thursday (4-day work week!)
Hours: 7:15 am - 5:00 pm (with 1-hour lunch break)

Responsibilities

Provide 4-handed chairside assistance to the dentist during a variety of general dentistry procedures
Take and process dental X-rays accurately and safely
Perform sterilization and infection control duties in compliance with protocols
Navigate Practice Management Software (Eaglesoft Knowledge preferred but not required)
Prepare and set-up procedural trays and treatment rooms
Assist in equipment maintenance and inventory management
Communicate with and manage patients in a mature and professional manner
Seat and Route Patients for Treatment Appointments

Requirements

DANB X-ray Certification (required)
Dental Assistant Certification (required)
CPR/BLS Certification (required)
Hepatitis B Vaccination (required)

We are a quality-oriented, modern practice focused on delivering comprehensive care. Our small team has been with the solo doctor for nearly two decades and we offer a collaborative team environment. We are located in the charming Temescal/Rockridge District of Oakland, blocks from BART and close to many restaurants and stores.
