Overview
Our dental practice is seeking an exceptional Dental Hygienist to join our team of healthcare professionals.
Role Requirements
We're looking for a skilled professional who can contribute to our team's success. The ideal candidate will have strong technical abilities, excellent patient communication skills, and the capacity to work independently while supporting team objectives. Recent graduates and experienced professionals are equally encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Teeth Cleaning: Remove plaque, hard tartar (calculus), and stains from all tooth surfaces and below the gum line.
- Patient Assessments: Review medical histories, check gum pocket depth, and screen for oral cancer or gum disease.
- Preventive Treatment: Apply protective fluoride treatment.
- Advanced Care: Perform root planing and scaling (SRP) procedures. Recommend laser therapy.
- Hygiene Instruction: Teach proper daily brushing and flossing techniques.
- Documentation: Record patient care, review medical history, treatment plan, and screening finding for dentist. Discuss the impact of nutrition and tobacco.
Monday Wednesday and Friday: 7am - 3:30pm
Tuesday and Thusday: 8-5pm
- Software & Charting: Utilize SoftDent and Paper charts for digital charting and patient records.
- Team Collaboration: 4 Dental assistants and 3 General Dentist, Periodontist and Endodontist to ensure seamless patient care.
Requirements
- Licensure: Active California Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) license
